Just When You Thought...
Prior to the 2002 shark attack, the Beach was closed twice in the summer of 2000 after three great white sharks were sighted off shore.

According to John McCosker of the California Academy of Sciences, there have been 82 shark attacks in Calfornia, 12 in Marin County, more than anywhere else.
