WebResults Guide to Web Site Planning: Follow-up on a Planning Session

1. Write a summary of the planning session, a draft Web Plan

2. Circulate the draft to the Web team and others who participated in the planning session for comment, and revise

3. Circulate the draft to leaders of the organization, as well as constituents and Web insiders for feedback, and revise

4. If appropriate, ask those to whom the draft Plan is circulated to volunteer to participate in development of the Web site

5. Revise the Plan as needed and obtain approval from the President/CEO/Chief Executive

6. Assign responsibility for major aspects of developing the Web site (e.g., Web server and Internet connection, design, content, maintenance and revisions)

7. Work through the site design process, and obtain feedback and approval

8. Get the site up and running

9. Evaluate the plan against the results you defined in your Web Plan.
